University of Northampton is a public research university in Northampton, United Kingdom.
It was formed on Jesse Boot’s vision and generous spirit, who gave significant property for the University in 1928, and it acquired its royal charter in 1948. The University of Northampton is a world-class university, as evidenced by its standing in the worldwide league tables in 2022; it was ranked seventh in the current Research Excellence Framework for research power.
